The nitroTone 4C is the color version of our most popular conversion - the nitroTone. This technique would make your beautiful imagery print in stunning fashion.

You've worked hard to create a killer ad. Excellent photography, perhaps a visual of a fashion model, or a smartphone, maybe a luxurious sedan? Either one of these types of imagery (along with a plethora of other subjects) lends itself perfectly to the effects of a nitroTone 4C conversion. Why? Because the nitroTone 4C will not alter the overall feel you have chosen for your visual. It will only enhance its reproduction. Once your ad hits the papers, the darks will appear solid and crisp, not muddy; the highlights will still maintain enough tone and not get blown out; the image will keep a balanced level of contrast and clarity; and most importantly, your ad will stand out from whatever else surrounds it on the page.

Since the nitroTone 4C is a continuous tone file, you can apply any line screen to it. A recommended range is between 65ls and 175ls.

What we need from you

We prefer to start with your original CMYK retouched digital file that has been approved. If the file is in RGB color mode, that is no problem.

We require a minimal file size of 300 ppi @ 100% the file size. Of course, higher resolution is even better.

What you get from us

The nitroTone 4C conversion is delivered as a CMYK EPS with a minimum of 300 ppi resolution.

Typically, each file is adjusted for newsprint reproduction with maximum total color density in any area of the image of under 235%.

If you want your nitroTone 4C for magazine, packaging or another substrate reproduction, we will provide the file with profiles adjusted accordingly.

Because we supply the converted file to you as a continuous tone CMYK EPS file, any size line screen can be applied upon output.

The nitroTone 4C has a useable size range down to 65% and up to 140% of the file size.
